Teacher appreciation week

Today we made rice crispy treats for my daughters 5th grade teachers. Instead of bringing in flowers, we thought they might like there flowers in the form of rice crispies. I put on a stick and made some sugar cookies to go with them, decorated them with melted chocolate and placed them in a clean can. We covered the can with regular card stalk and positioned the flowers using an egg carton. We used extra paper cut with Martha Stewart scissors to cut grass blades and also to fill the inside.

The notes attached were made from a digital package I found at Just So Scrappy. I added the white and a quick note to the teacher, then a yellow background. Instead of printing at home, bc I have run out of ink, I printed at the corner Walgreens and simply cut each one out. They looked great with the shiny paper.

Simple Goodie Bags

My daughter's 13th birthday party! She loves Hello Kitty, but didn't like "little girl" things we were finding in the stores. I found this picture on a random search and it worked out perfect for the entire theme of the party.
